Stephen A. Bender, age 69, of New Haven ,Connecticut passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026 after a brief illness.  Stephen was born and raised in Stratford, Connecticut. He attended St. Ambrose School and Stratford High School, and received an Associate’s Degree from Norwalk State Technical College. He attended St. James Church and was a member of the 18-30 Church Group.
 Stephen enjoyed playing guitar, listening to classic rock, and watching the Yankees and NY Giants. Prior to his retirement, Stephen worked for Milford Jai-Alai, First Constitutional Bank, Manhattan Tool Company, and Home Depot.
 Stephen is survived by his brother Len and his wife Kathy, and his brother Tom and his wife Suzie. He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and William Bender and his siblings Beverly Bielski, John Bender, and Gary Bender. He was interred in St. Mary- Putnam Cemetery in Greenwich, Connecticut.
