Timothy J. Van Tassell

Timothy J. Van Tassell, age 42, of Stratford, beloved son of Thomas and Carol Nevelus Van Tassell, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2021 in Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Timothy was born on August 8, 1979 in Bridgeport and was an avid New York Yankees fan, bowler at Nutmeg Bowling and enjoyed spending time with family, especially his mother who was always with him through his hardships. In addition to his beloved parents, Thomas and Carol Nevelus Van Tassell, Timothy is also survived by one brother, Thomas Penzerro of Stratford, two sisters, Theresa Penzerro of New Haven and Marie Bedoya and fiancé, D.J. Tonini of Stratford, five nieces and nephews, Carol Ann, Olivia, Austin, Javier and Josie and several cousins. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
