Planning Ahead

Planning for the end of life isn't something that appeals to most of us. We are understandably reluctant to think about death, and even more reluctant to talk about it with our loved ones. Planning ahead, however, can provide a sense of comfort and relief to all concerned. It can bring families together to make crucial decisions calmly and rationally. We help people talk about their funeral needs and wishes in a very compassionate and sensitive way.

Many of the families we serve choose pre-planned services. They have many reasons for doing so. They want to make sure that last wishes are understood and honored. They want to avoid making difficult choices at a time when grief is fresh. They want to be able to talk together and decide on the most meaningful choices for them. 

During the pre-planning process, we help people to focus their thoughts about their service, to think about the experience they wish to leave behind. We also work with them to gather necessary information that is more difficult to access at-need : information about birth and death dates and places, organizations, military service, social security information, employment history. We help people determine the information to have highlighted and made public upon their passing. 

It is our philosophy at Galello-Luchansky Funeral & Cremation Services that everyone is entitled to a dignified, proper service in accordance with their wishes. The pre-planning services we offer will help ensure just that. 

Pre-planning services involve a great deal of thought and compassion. We understand that it is a difficult process and that addressing these issues with family members isn't always easy or comfortable. We are here to help smooth the way.
