Danielle Buda White, age 40, of Stratford, beloved daughter of the late Michael and Diane Lemieux Buda Sr., passed away suddenly on December 22, 2017 in her residence. Danielle was born in Bridgeport on January 25, 1977 and was a 1995 graduate of Bunnell High School. She received a bachelor degree in social work from Springfield College in 1999 and two master’s degrees from Southern Connecticut State University in social work and teaching. Danielle was an accomplished gymnast and track star in high school and college, ranking first in the State of Connecticut gymnastics championships in the mid 90’s. She was called "The Rock" by her father, a nickname he gave her for her strong athletic abilities. She was employed by the West Haven Board of Education for ten years and was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols, Assembly #9. Danielle was always willing to help others and treasured her beloved dog, Zippy, whom she rescued four years ago. Danielle enjoyed reading, gymnastics, animals and traveling. Now, we take comfort knowing Dani is reunited in heaven with her parents and brother forever. Danielle is survived by her sister, Michele Buda Pankowitz of Stratford, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In addition to her beloved parents, Michael and Diane, Danielle was also predeceased by her brother, Michael Buda Jr., maternal grandparents, Arthur and Mary Lemieux and paternal grandparents, Frank and Margaret Buda. Services will be private, and have been entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford. The family would like to thank everyone for their support of Danielle during the past year.
